Re-Define
I wanted to provide a space for the adults of the world where they can escape from their busy lives in a safe environment. In the heart of Canton is the chapter arts Centre, which many use as a place to work or hold meetings with other, so I’ve redesign the Stwidio Seligman to house individual pods that can be adjusted per person.
Each pod has LED wall lights that can be dimmed and change colours, modular furniture and privacy to allow for complete relaxation. Upstairs houses more pods in a different style as well as a therapy room available to everyone. I have kept the styling very minimal as the aim is for the space to be as configurable as possible and be a comfortable environment for those with ASD. This project was created whilst I was doing my dissertation so I have used research from that. I found that it is difficult to have one emotion per a specific colour so the aim is for people to choose what they would like to suit them.
