Victoria’s Greenhouse
I created a fine dining restaurant with to open rooms and the rest private spaces that could be booked out, the outdoor dining was covered by a structure made of I-beams and steel mesh. This was developed and inspired by the Victorian Crystal Palace, but with an industrial and less delicate take than the original.
For the interior style I mixed brutalism with very opulent Victorians wallpapers and upholstery for a harsh contrast but I think it allowed for an interest on the outside and to appreciate the detail in my pattern choices.
The furniture was made from a grey concrete and the walls were very deep blue, pink and green, to make the space dark and allow for a unique dining experience. This is where I began to be bold with colours and start to find my design style.
